STEP 01: SHORTEN NAILS.
Using Attain Nail Clippers shorten the nails to the length desired. Don't worry about refining the shape just yet.
STEP 02: PUSH BACK SKIN.
The goal is to gently expose the maximum amount of nail plate, create as uniform of a cuticle area shape as possible, and to remove all dried cuticle and debris. All of these goals will help your Attain service last longer and extend the time between maintenance.
STEP 03: FILE AND SHAPE.
Use the finer (star printed) side of the Attain Metal Nail File to file your nail into the shape you desire. Using a 45 degree angle will help bevel your nail's free edge making it more refined and less likely to peel, crack, and chip.
STEP 04: REMOVE THE NATURAL SHINE.
Use the opposite rougher side of the Attain Metal Nail File to remove the natural shine. Be gentle as we don't want to remove a lot of nail plate material. The texture will help your Attain Adhesion base layer to grip the nail and create a long lasting service.
STEP 05: CLEANSE THE NAIL.
Using a lint free Attain Wipe and Attain Clean cleanser clean the nail thoroughly to remove all dust and oils.
STEP 06: AIR DRY.
Allow the nail to fully air dry before proceeding on to application. Avoid blowing air from your mouth on your nails as you can transfer bacteria and recontaminate the nail surface. Your nail should look really dry and chalky after finishing this prep process. Your nail is now clean of bacteria and oils and ready for application!
